Erin is an advocate with over 20 years of professional experience. Starting in the legal field as an attorney, she advised individuals and families on estate planning, trust and estate administration, guardianship and conservatorship matters, contract drafting, and litigation.
Over a decade ago, Erin transitioned to being a fiduciary at a national trust company where she managed trusts for individuals with disabilities, which requires a deep knowledge about government benefits. She currently leads a team responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and drafting policies and procedures for the trust division and works closely with stakeholders to address escalated risk and compliance matters. Because of her knowledge and experience, Erin has spoken at legal conferences throughout the country on various estate planning topics.
In addition to her professional experience, Erin brings a deeply personal perspective to her board service. She is a caregiver and advocate for her spouse, who has MAPT FTD, and became symptomatic around age 37 when their sons were only 6 and 8 years old. This experience has given her firsthand insight into the challenges faced by individuals with MAPT FTD, their caregivers, and others who love and support them.
Combining her legal expertise with lived experience, Erin is committed to supporting the organization's mission and helping advance awareness, research, treatment trials, and ultimately, a cure.
