Michael King

Treasurer

Michael is a seasoned finance, accounting, and tax professional with over 40 years of experience in public accounting, and finance. As a passionate advocate for Cure MAPT FTD, Michael brings a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm.

Professional Background and Education
With a background in public accounting and tax, Michael has held leadership roles in public accounting at Deloitte and Larson Allen, where he advised clients on tax and employee benefit issues. He has significant experience representing clients on audit and related issues before the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Labor. He has served as an adjunct professor for the University of Minnesota, Carlson School of Management, and Metro State University.  He retired as the CEO of Goldleaf Partners, a retirement services company, in 2020.

Michael has a double bachelor’s degree in Managerial Accounting and Management Information Systems from University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.  He holds a Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management.

Outside of the boardroom, Michael enjoys golfing, hiking, and walking the beach, and is an avid project/home remodeler.
